The Quinoa Cowboy Veggie Burger with Black Beans and Roasted Corn from Trader Joe’s reminds me of the veggie burger from Hillstone Restaurant. If you haven’t tried the Veggie Burger at Hillstone Restaurant on Camelback near Biltmore, then you are missing out. When Molly and I want to go have a treat meal after a golf tournament or Valley Team – we go straight to Hillstone. ANYWAY, the Quinoa Cowboy Veggie Burger from Trader Joe’s reminds of that one. It is a good size burger, hearty and delicious. Even my husband who HATES VEGGIE BURGERS, loved this one. Make sure you dress it up with lettuce, tomato and avocado and you will be thinking you had a restaurant quality burger!

I LOVE the New Year and the whole idea of starting fresh. This year, as I am mapping out my 2019 business and personal goals, I decided to reread the 12-Week Year by Brian P. Moran. I have a clear vision of my goals and how I need to execute them BUT what I need help with is executing them in an organized, efficient manner. I know I can get a lot completed in a small period of time, but I can sometimes get stuck in a spot where I am just wasting time doing the wrong tasks or lack direction. The principles in the 12-Week Year help me map out 3 months so that I can plan my weekly goals and daily goals to meet my long-term goals. That way I know the tasks I am completing will get me one step closer to my 2019 business and personal goals. With the New Year around the corner, I highly recommend it.

last minute gift idea…

Ok so this is old news… you are gonna be like - really, that’s the best you got? Let’s treat it more as a gentle reminder. There is something I use EVERYDAY from my sister’s store and I have used it EVERYDAY for 6 years. Every. Single. Day.
My MZ Wallace bag is like a security blanket. I have it with me everywhere I go. It is the perfect work bag, carry-on bag, overnight excursion bag, or just an everyday bag that you can throw all your crap in. My co-worker was looking for a last-minute gift for his wife so I called Brenda at the Arcadia store and told her, get the Black Lacquer MZ Wallace tote all wrapped and ready to go for him so he can swing by and grab it after work. Done. He now has a beautiful gift for his wife that she will use all the time AND THE BAG LASTS FOREVER! I replaced my bag two years ago with the Black Lacquer version and it still looks brand new. They come in many different sizes but of course the large one is my favorite. I also have worn their Cross-Body Quilted bag for the past year and I’m still not ready to switch it out. Every Collections Store carries them OR you can shop online HERE

inspiration…

“…the number-one thing that you will have to sacrifice to be great, to achieve what you are capable of, and to execute your plans, is your comfort.”
