WHAT’S UP!

WHAT’S UP!

Hi, I'm Tori!

One of my greatest passions is throwing epic women's golf experiences. Whether it's a 200+ women's golf tournament or a retreat overseas - I love bringing this community together.

I’ve been golfing recreationally and competitively for over 15 years, and I know firsthand — whether it’s your first day on the course or you're a seasoned golfer — being a woman in this sport can be intimidating and isolating. But it doesn’t have to be. At least, not anymore.

COMMUNITY LOVE

TAKE A PEEK INTO OUR PAST PLAYER EXPERIENCES:

“Participating in the Desert Classic was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all my expectations. The atmosphere was electric, the course was excellent (yes, even in the desert), and I found great value in the clinics with both Erika Larkin and Lisa Longball. This was more than just a tournament; it was a celebration of women on the golf course!”
MARLA M.
2024 DESERT CLASSIC PLAYER
“I have to say that this was my first time at a Tori event, and it was truly amazing. I will be back next year and let all of my friends know about this event. It was a beautiful venue, and the golf course and clubhouse were amazing. It was so nice to meet so many beautiful people, and I loved all the music and dancing after the golf. Thanks again for an amazing time.”
FRANCES L.
2024 DESERT CLASSIC PLAYER
“Words cannot express my gratitude for all the friendships formed during these tournaments! The amount of positivity and love for golf that pours out of the women in this group, is BEYOND incredible! The experience is unforgettable, and I look forward to many, many more!”

FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS

+ WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THIS TOURNAMENT?

Part of my vision with Compete Confidence Golf was to have an EPIC women's golf tournament each year. You can expect incredible golf, good food, amazing swag and next level entertainment. You should expect to make new friends and spend quality time with your old friends on the golf course!

+ HOW LONG IS THE TOURNAMENT AND WHEN EXACTLY IS IT?

Week 1: March 2nd through March 5th, 2025

Week 2: March 9th through March 12th, 2025

The tournament is 3 days with an opening night party, shopping night, and optional practice round day on Saturday or Sunday.

+ IS THERE A RESORT OR HOTEL THAT EVERYONE STAYS AT?

Since there are so many options on where to stay in Phoenix and Scottsdale, we don't open a block of rooms at a specific hotel.

The closest hotel near the course is the Airport Marriott, a lot of players do stay there.

If you are going to book a different hotel or VRBO, I would stay near Old Town Scottsdale, Arcadia or Biltmore neighborhoods. All those locations are within a 10-15 minute drive to the course and have lots of dining and entertainment options within walking distance.

Something to take note of, the Desert Classic schedule is JAM PACKED. We keep you busy from Sunday night shopping night all the way to the Awards Celebration on Wednesday evening. You won't be spending a ton of time wherever you chose to stay.

+ WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A PARTNER? CAN I SIGN UP AS A SINGLE?

Yes! If you don't have a partner, register as a Single Player and I will pair you up with another player based on your Handicap Index.

+ WHERE ARE ALL THE TOURNAMENT EVENTS BEING HELD?

All tournament rounds, meals, and parties are being held at the Papago Golf Course including Sunday evening's shopping night.

+ WHAT KIND OF REQUIREMENTS ARE THERE?

This tournament is open to all female amateur golfers with an active GHIN.

36 course handicap will be the maximum handicap used for the tournament.

Partners must have handicaps within 10 strokes of each other or the higher handicap player will play down to the adjusted 10 stroke difference handicap.

All tournament participants must be at least 21 years old.

+ WHAT YARDAGE WILL WE BE PLAYING AT?

We will be playing the gold tees which are just over 5,400 yards

+ WHAT IS THE DATE OF THE HANDICAP INDEX THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE USING?

We will be using the 2/26/24 Handicap Index for each player.

+ HOW MANY TEAMS ARE ACCEPTED IN THE TOURNAMENT?

First 100 teams per week to register will be into the tournament. A wait list will be formed after that.

+ IS THERE A PRACTICE ROUND?

We have arranged an optional practice round for Saturday, March 1st/March8th and Sunday, March 2nd/March 9th at a discounted rate for all tournament players.

Papago has an amazing restaurant and hopping bar. If you have a practice round later in the day, even if it's 9-holes, plan on eating right at Papago afterward. You should be able to get in at least 9 holes if your tee time is by 4:00pm.

+ WHEN WILL I KNOW IF I AM PLAYING IN THE MORNING OR AFTERNOON SHOTGUN?

Shotgun times and flight information will be released on Wednesday, February 26th.

Due to the nature of the event, we cannot take special requests for pairings or shotgun times.

+ HOW WILL PAIRINGS BE SELECTED?

Pairings will be random within the flight each day.

+ ARE THE PRIZES GROSS AND NET?

YES! We will be paying out 1st, 2nd and 3rd place GROSS AND NET in each flight - 6 payouts total in each flight!!
We will also have an Overall Low Gross and Overall Low Net Champion.

+ ARE DRINKS INCLUDED AT ANY OF THE TOURNAMENT EVENTS?

We will have water on the golf course throughout. For lunches and dinners, there will be complimentary iced tea and lemonade. There will be a cash bar available at all tournament events.

+ WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE THIS TIME OF YEAR?

Bring layers!!! The mornings can be in the 50's but by the afternoon it will be in the 70's. That's why in a lot of the pictures you will see snow hats and then tank tops and skirts!

+ WHAT ARE THE DAILY TEAM OUTFIT THEMES?

Sunday:
Evening: Represent Your State and or Country

Monday:
Day: Wild Wild West
Evening: The Ultimate Southwest Hoedown

Tuesday:
Day: Yacht Rock
Evening: Your Favorite Concert T-Shirt

Wednesday:
All Day: Masters Green

+ WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY?

If cancelled on or before January 31st, 2025, you will receive a 50% refund of your registration fee.

Due to the nature of this event, your registration fee will be nonrefundable starting February 1st, 2025.
