"Attending the Desert Classic alongside 200 other women was an incredible experience. This event was 5 star, I truly can’t say enough. From the food selection to nightly entertainment, incredible 4 days of golf and the best part I wasn’t expecting. The golf friendships made that will last a lifetime."

2022 Desert Classic Participant

"I didn't know golf could be THIS much fun. Signing up for our first tournament away from our home course was intimidating to say the least, but my partner and I went into the week knowing that we would make so many new friends and incredible memories. Mission accomplished!"

2022 Desert Classic Participant

"The event was very well organized and just plain fun! It was so great to meet new folks from around the country. Tori was an outstanding hostess with the mostest! Papago was a great venue."

2022 Desert Classic Participant

"I’ve played in tournaments for 40 years and was also a former club pro, so I’ve helped facilitate and plan my fair share of golf tournaments! This event exceeded my very high expectations! The positive energy and acceptance Tori and her team have cultivated, welcomes, and embraces you to be a part of an amazing community of women! This wasn’t just a golf tournament, but a life event of memories and women I will cherish forever!!!"

Shannon, 2022 Desert Classic Participant

"For only playing golf for one year this event gave me a chance to experience a real golf tournament experience. Playing golf with women is so different than playing with DUDES. Even the scratch golfers I played with were so positive and supportive. Do it just do it! Sign up for 2023. I’ll be there!"

2022 Desert Classic Participant

"What an AMAZING 4 days of celebrating women in golf!!! Tori, Sarah, and team did a fantastic job of making us feel special and welcome, regardless of skill level. Everything was top notch, and I would highly recommend to all that may be interested!!!"

Louise, 2022 Desert Classic Participant

"This is a golf trip you don’t want to miss! Tori and Sarah are true Champions of Women, growing the game of golf through powerful connections. I initially struggled investing the time away from work to “go play golf” but it’s turned out to be so much more than just golf and I would recommend it for everyone."

Angela, 2022 Desert Classic Participant

"I really enjoyed the first annual Desert Classic. It was a stretch signing up as an individual but decided to sign up anyways. I was matched with a wonderful partner. We came through to win overall gross for our flight. Such an amazing experience! Met so many wonderful women! Cannot wait to come back! Thank you, Tori and crew, for all your hard work and dedication to make this a successful tournament."

The 3 days ended with new friends and many fun memories made. Thanks Tori & team! It was clear you all worked hard to make this event special and perfect for us."

Kathy, 2022 Desert Classic Participant

"The tournament made me feel empowered as a woman golfer. It was an experience I will never forget, and I got to share it with my daughter."

2022 Desert Classic Participant

"Once again, Tori has created another "Golf Event to Remember" that tops out at 5 out of 5 stars! Every detail covered. All questions answered. From touchdown to take off, the fun and connecting with other women golfers was awesome. And the atmosphere was great for every level of golfer-no need to worry about being good enough because we were flighted with similarly handicapped players. Don't have FOMO! Get over here and play The Desert Classic! I plan to do it every year!"

Susan, 2022 Desert Classic Participant

"The Desert Classic was an amazing event for women, by women, supporting women! I improved my game, networked with strong, successful women & made friends that I will cherish. I will be back each year & hope to see more women duplicating this type of event!"

2022 Desert Classic Participant

"I was simply astonished when I learned that this Desert Classic was a first annual event. Tori and her team did such an amazing job executing this tournament - everything was top notch and I had so much fun."

2022 Desert Classic Participant

"I’ve followed Tori on social media and when she announced this golf experience I knew I had to be a part of it. The 1st annual Desert Classic was an unbelievable top notch girls golf trip! Every detail was covered. I’m glad I was with Sarah and part of the retreat group. Not having to worry about transportation and my clubs made it that much more enjoyable. If you love golf you have to do this! "

2022 Desert Classic Participant

"The Desert Classic tournament was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve been a part of. Tori and Sarah organized the most thoughtful and empowering multi-day event. It was the perfect mix of fun, community and competition. From the exclusive shopping event with amazing golf apparel, to the live music throughout the day, and special celebrity guests, this was a bucket list experience that I look forward to repeating every year. I was so hooked after the first day, that I booked my spot to Pinehurst! I found my community and can’t wait to build upon the friendships I made in three short days."

FAQ

What can I expect from this tournament?

Part of my vision with Compete Confidence Golf was to have an EPIC women's golf tournament each year. You can expect incredible golf, good food, amazing swag and next level entertainment. You should expect to make new friends and spend quality time with your old friends on the golf course!

How long is the tournament and when exactly is it?

The tournament is 3 days long and will be March 6th to March 8th, 2023.

If you are flying in from out of town, I suggest flying in on Sunday the 5th in the morning leaving room for a practice round at Papago and then flying out on Thursday the 9th.

Where are all the tournament events held?

All tournament rounds, lunches, dinners and entertainment will be held at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix.

The only exception to this is Shopping Night on Sunday the 5th. This event will be held at a separate location near Old Town Scottsdale which will be announced soon.

What kind of requirements are there?

This tournament is open to all female amateur golfers with an active GHIN.

36 course handicap will be the maximum handicap used for the tournament.

Partners must have handicaps within 10 strokes of each other or the higher handicap player will play down to the adjusted 10 stroke difference handicap.

All tournament participants must be at least 21 years old.

What are the daily team outfit themes?

Monday: Floral Bombs
Tuesday: Black & White with a POP of Color
Wednesday: Yacht Rock

What yardage will we be playing at?

We will be playing the gold tees which are just over 5,400 yards.

What is the date of the Handicap Index the tournament will be using?

We will be using the 3/1/23 Handicap Index for each player.

What if I don't have a partner? Can I sign up as a single?

Yes! There are two packages available to purchase if you are a single golfer looking to be paired up.

How many teams are accepted into the tournament?

In order to maintain a good pace of play, we are limiting the tournament to 100 teams. We will be having double shotguns each day with 50 teams per shotgun.

Is a practice round included?

We have arranged an optional practice round for Saturday, March 4th and Sunday, March 5th at a discounted rate for all tournament players.

Papago has an amazing restaurant and hopping bar. If you have a practice round later in the day, even if its 9-holes, plan on eating right at Papago afterwards. You should be able to get in at least 9 holes if you tee time is by 4:00pm.

Reservations for the practice round will begin December 1st.

When will I know if I am playing in the morning or afternoon shotgun?

Shotgun times will be announced at the Registration Zoom Call on March 1st, 2023.
